BC ONLY - Use T4C report to register calves with Holstein Canada
We've been working closely with the good people at Holstein Canada to find a way to make it simpler for you to register animals with Holstein Canada using your T4C reports. The previous blog post explained a method where you had to enter some of the data manually. Below is the updated method.
The 2 reports you will need are:
36 - Calf Registration - Holstein Canada
87.3 - Breeding Lists - Holstein Canada
So that we can better streamline this process and to be sure all reports are the same, if you already have one of them, delete the ones you currently have and import the new ones using the method below (BC farms only):
On your T4C, go to 'Analysis/Reports'
Bottom right, click on 'Import Report'
Click on 'Choose File'
In the pop-up window, click on 'OneDrive - West Coast Robotics' => 'Customer Documents'=> 'T4C'
The reports needed will be in this folder. You will need to repeat this procedure to import both reports. You can only import one at a time.
Once you have those 2 reports on your T4C, here is the procedure to register your animals with Holstein Canada:
Open the report and select the animals to be registered.
Export the 2 reports to Excel and save them.
For identification purpose, put your Holstein Canada member number or Prefix on report 36.
If your sire library is filled properly, the father name and number should already be filled.
Simply email both reports to ereg@holstein.ca
You will receive a notification and a copy of herdbook data file when animals are registered along with a message on your HC Online Service message board.
If you have any questions regarding this procedure and registering animals using T4C, contact your FMS advisor.
Side Note: If you classify your herd. Import report '87.2 - Animal Inventory - Holstein Canada' as well.
