Machines stopping mid-run for a minor, temporary issue is frustrating on any farm. We’re excited to introduce Auto Restart — a new BETA feature in the 360 RAIN app that’s live now and ready to be enabled!
To use the Auto Restart feature, the machine needs to be running software version 2026.1.15 or newer, and the 360 RAIN app needs to be on version 2026.1.0 or newer.
WHAT IS AUTO RESTART?
Machines stop for a lot of reasons and a surprising number of them are small, temporary issues that resolve on their own within minutes. When enabled, the Auto Restart feature allows the 360 RAIN machine to automatically resume operation after certain error codes occur.
Think about situations like:
· A couple minutes of internet outage
· Brief atmospheric conditions causing a temporary loss of GPS fix
· A hose angle error that just needs a couple of jogs to correct
· A liquid system that needs a quick restart to clear a pump or manifold issue
Instead of the machine sitting idle and waiting for someone to notice and respond, Auto Restart gets the machine moving again automatically.
When enabled, the 360 RAIN auto restart feature allows the 360 RAIN machine to automatically resume operation after certain errors occur. If an error is detected, the machine will pause movement and display a status of restart in progress on the 360 RAIN app.
It will then work through a recovery protocol specific to each error code. This may include clearing the error and attempting to restart, waiting for the issue to resolve itself for up to the maximum time set by the user, or accepting remote commands to correct the problem.
If the stop button is pressed during an auto restart event, the restart attempt will immediately cancel, and the machine will transition to a stopped status. The machine app users will only receive a push notification if the Auto Restart feature is unable to successfully return the machine to operation.
HOW TO ENABLE IT
Auto Restart is available in the 360 RAIN app running software 2026.1.15 or newer. To enable it, head to the machine settings in your 360 RAIN app. There are three independent areas you can control (off/on/limit):
· Machine Auto Restart » handles machine-based error codes
· Liquid Auto Restart » handles liquid system-based error codes
· Auto Restart Time Limit » sets the maximum number of minutes the machine will attempt to
restart before giving up and sending users a push notification

⚠️ BETA NOTICE:
This is a beta feature. We encourage turning it on to help keep your machine running and reduce downtime. For safety, always use Lockout when working on the machine. Lockout will override any restart attempt.
